How to read Reports

How to read your Occupational Radiation Exposure Report

It is important to understand the meanings of the results you receive from monitoring reports. Please refer to the following explanations when reviewing. Should you have any questions, please call 1-800-251-3331 Monday through Friday 6 AM - 5 PM (PST), and a customer service representative will assist.

Column 1 - All applicable employees within your account are assigned a unique individual wearer number. All exposure data is reported, and kept, by wearer number.

Column 2 - Badges may be further identified by assigning an optional slot number.

Column 3 - Specific reference group in which badges were processed

Column 11 - Type of radiation device analyzed. Refer to below code.

Columns 17-27 - Dose equivalent in mrems for indicated monitoring periods. Refer to below definitions.

DEEP DOSE EQUIVILANT (DDE) - incremental measurement in rem for dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 1 cm. Applies to whole body exposure.

EYE DOSE EQUIVILANT (EDE) - incremental measurement in rem for dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 0.3 cm. Applies to external exposure of the lens of the eye.

SHALLOW DOSE EQUIVALENT (SDE-WB) - incremental measurement in rem for dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 0.007 cm. Applies to shallow dose of whole body.

SHALLOW DOSE EQUIVALENT (SDE-E) - incremental measurement in rem for dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 0.007 cm. Applies to shallow dose of extremity.

Columns 22-24 - Quarter to date radiation exposure limits
