NELCO manufactures and installs comprehensive R.F. and magnetic shielding systems for a wide variety of M.R.I. units. Three types of R.F. shielding can be installed, depending on site use, location, and construction. A copper modular panel system consists of wood frames wrapped on three sides by pure copper. A galvanized steel system consists of composition board panels laminated with 24-gauge galvanized steel. A soldered-copper system uses copper sheets with soldered joints.

Magnetic shielding is a requirement to meet certain site or equipment criteria. Once defined by the magnetic manufacturer, NELCO offers a shielding solution that is comprised of silicon or low carbon steel and installed at the site by highly trained personnel.

Depending on the owner’s needs, NELCO can simply provide materials to an independent contractor, supervise construction and installation, or provide complete turnkey services including design, construction, installation, and finish. NELCO has teams of professionals in many disciplines who will ensure that every installation is completed on time and follows rigorous adherence to safety specifications and regulatory mandates. At the completion of each installation, NELCO conducts comprehensive compliance and safety testing.
