The NEMA 2001 PET Scatter Phantom is designed in compliance with the
recommendations of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association
(NEMA-2001 Standard) to standardize the measurement of count rate
performance of a scintillation camera in the presence of scatter.
The phantom contains a fillable line
source that runs parallel to the center axis of the cylinder and offset
a distance of 4.5 cm. The cylinder is made of four sections for ease of
carrying and storage. There are two lock knobs and a rod to fasten the
four sections together.
