Dose Calibrator Reference Sources
The daily calibration of dose calibrators is
recommended to ensure accurate and reproducible instrument response.
Calibration is easily achieved and maintained by the use of long-lived
reference sources.
These sources are solid cast epoxy, 20 ml
active volume in the 27 ml Vial E. They are calibrated with ±5% accuracy at
the 99% confidence level, NIST traceable. Dose Calibrator Reference Sources
are registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Center for Devices
and Radiological Health and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Each source includes a certificate of
calibration, a leak test certificate, and a radiation safety and handling
sheet. The source is packaged in an individual lead shield that is color
coded and vinyl covered to eliminate exposure to the lead. Dose Calibrator
Reference Sources are available individually or as an economical set.
