Compact PET Shipping System for 3 Unit Dose Pigs

For shipping syringes with or without needles attached.

 

This compact PET shipping system is designed to transport up to three (3 or 5 cc) single syringes with or without needle attached, containing high energy radionuclides. The system employs a unique design that decreases the weight and size of the containers. The system meets DOT Type A packaging requirements when shipping up to 235 mCi in one pig, 160 mCi in the second pig and 140 mCi in the third pig of FDG F-18. Another feature of the system is that the shipping container can remain at a level below countertop. The technologist has to lift only the unit dose pig. The entire system weighs 92 lb.
